After an extensive search, the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs is delighted to announce that it has successfully recruited Dr. Tina Saryeddine as its incoming Executive Director effective May 23, 2017.

“The selection panel was particularly impressed by Tina’s experience with membership driven associations; her affinity for research and innovation; and her track record in the national policy-shaping and advocacy process” says CAFC President Ken Block.

“As both a citizen and a professional, I am honoured to be part of such an important organization” says Dr. Saryeddine. “I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and working with the Board, National Advisory Council, members, partners and key stakeholders to help achieve the mission of the highest standards of safety and practice for Canadians. Thank you for the opportunity”.

Tina brings close to 20 years of experience with membership driven organizations and extensive experience on the policy, research, and innovation and advocacy fronts. She joins us from HealthCareCAN, the national voice of patient care organizations, where she is currently the Executive Director Research and Innovation. Prior to that she worked with the Association of Canadian Academic Healthcare Organizations and the Greater Toronto Area Rehabilitation Network.

She has a PhD in health services management and organizations from the University of Toronto which she completed while working full time, and a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management where she maintains an Adjunct Faculty appointment.  She is the recipient of many awards and grants.

Please join me in welcoming Tina to the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs.
